A new class action law suit, called Law Enforcement Officers, Inc. v. j2 Web Services, Inc, alleges that J2 services illegally charged customers late fees. J2 denies that their late fees were illegal, and insists that they fully complied with the law, but they have agreed to settle this matter out of court instead of taking the time to have a legal case. To receive compensation in the class action lawsuit against J2, customers will need to be able to show a copy of their credit or debit card statement showing payment of a late fee to J2, a a copy of their monthly billing statement for any of the services showing payment of a late fee, or a copy of their online billing history for the services showing that a late fee was assessed and paid. Class members ARE NOT required to attend the J2 Late Fee Settlement approval hearing that takes place on Wednesday, February 15, 2017.
